Undergraduate Studies

New Freshmen
- You have never attended a college or university OR
- You are in high school and university courses at the same time (concurrently) OR
- You have attempted fewer than 2 semester credit hours at a university immediately after graduating from high school
Transfer Freshmen
You have graduated from high school and have attended university, and have earned
between 3 and 23 transferable university credit hours (typically less than one year
of full-time academic study).
Transfer Students
You have graduated from high school and have attended university, and have earned
24 or more transferable university credit hours (typically achieved through one year
of full-time academic study).
Non-Degree Students
You wish to enroll in classes at the University of Arkansas but are not seeking
a degree.
Visiting Student Program
You are enrolled in a degree program at another university and wish to take
classes at the University of Arkansas for a summer, a semester, or a year before returning
to your home institution – either as an independent visiting student OR as part of
the University of Arkansas Visiting Student Program.
Exchange Students
You will be attending the University of Arkansas as part of a reciprocal exchange
program between our university and your institution. See our list of exchange partner institutions.
Returning Students
You have previously been enrolled at the University of Arkansas and have earned
no university credit hours since last attending.
